Qualifications Requirements:

1.  Extensive experience at a senior level in the field of accident/incident investigation from an airworthiness perspective, with direct responsibility in the preparation and implementation of rules, regulations and manuals related to accident investigations.

2.  In-depth knowledge of ICAO publications related to accident investigation.

3.  Ability to write manuals and reports.

4.  A good command of oral and written English, French or Spanish is essential.

5.  Client Orientation: Ability to establish and maintain partnerships with external collaborators, to work and advocate effectively in a consensus-based system and to successfully manage and resolve conflict.

6.  Commitment to continuous learning: Willingness to keep abreast of new developments in professional field.

7.  Technological awareness: Ability to use contemporary office automation equipment, software, databases.


1.  Prepare appropriate accident/incident investigation procedures including duties and responsibilities, investigation procedures, and checklists for the state aviation safety board. 

2,  Develop and present an Accident Investigation Policy and Procedures Manual and/or an Investigation Training Manual.

3.  Provide training to staff.

4.  Perform other related duties as may be required.
